Elias Resinger

As an expert in family business and owner strategy, Elias Resinger advises mainly Austrian entrepreneurial families in complex succession situations. His practice focuses on the rapidly growing area of family governance in Austria.

After studying business law at the University of Graz, the LSE London and a Master’s degree at Boston University, he worked in business law firms in Vienna and New York City before joining a media group in Vienna for six years, first as an assistant to the Executive Board and then as Head of Corporate & Business Development. In this role, he was responsible for the development of the group's strategy and organisation, as well as the development and establishment of new business areas. He then worked as a management consultant for a leading consulting firm with focus on organisation and change management before he has founded his own boutique consulting firm.

For several years, he has been supporting well-known (family) businesses especially in the areas of strategy and organisation, with a strong focus on owner strategy, succession and the development of family constitutions according to the method of Prof. Dr. Peter May.

Elias Resinger is also active on numerous family business platforms with a special focus on the next generation, he is currently a member of the advisory and supervisory boards of several companies and also a passionate Fambiz networker beyond Austria's borders.

Since the spring of 2023, Elias Resinger has been a partner of PETER MAY Family Business Consulting for Austria and continues to be active as an entrepreneur himself. His goal is to raise awareness for the importance of family businesses in the Austrian economy and to successfully guide Austrian family businesses into the next generation.

His guiding principle is: “Shaping the future together“. Which means making family businesses successful and ensuring their sustainability. This is not just about the successful handover to the next generation, but also about developing a long-term strategy that takes into account the interests and needs of family members and enables them to work together harmoniously.
