Sabine Strick

Sabine Strick supports family businesses in the conception, establishment and staffing of their advisory boards, supervisory boards or boards of directors. She also designs workshops and training formats for entrepreneurs, shareholders, NextGens and advisory board members.

Sabine Strick started her career as a qualified simultaneous interpreter (University of Heidelberg) before moving to the publishing world at the F.A.Z. Group in Frankfurt. There she worked as a business journalist for various publications with a focus on the topics of capital market communication and corporate finance. She was co-founder and long-time editor-in-chief of “wir - Das Magazin für Unternehmerfamilien” and later the responsible project manager for all print and event formats under this brand.

After 14 years with the F.A.Z. Group, she joined INTES Akademie für Familienunternehmen GmbH in 2015 as project manager and later authorised signatory, where she was jointly responsible for the further expansion of the event business as well as for the placement of advisory boards and supervisory boards in addition to being chief-editor of the “UnternehmerBrief”.

Together with Gerold Rieder, she has built up a highly specialised network of entrepreneurs and managing directors in family businesses in recent years. On this basis, both of them continue to mediate advisory boards, supervisory boards and boards of directors regularly and with lasting success.

Sabine Strick joined PETER MAY Group in January 2022 in order to build up the newly founded PETER MAY Board Services division together with Gerold Rieder.

Her guiding principle: Advisory boards must generate real added value for the company and the family, otherwise they are expensive time wasters. For this to succeed, they should be regularly reviewed in terms of their adequate structure, working methods and staffing and, if necessary, adapted.
